Greetings to Their Majesties Amos and Ysabella,
Greetings to all subjects of Their Majesties,
Greetings to the fencers of Atlantia and to the scholars of the Academie d'Espee,
Whereas in two years since he authorized at Ymir, he has demonstrated a relentless desire to stab people on the inside
Whereas he has, in that time, sought out every opportunity to fight, sometimes six days a week, and spent more time in mask than many fighters around three times as long
Whereas he has, as a result, become a threat on the melee and the tournament fields, and overwhelmed all who made the mistake of under-estimating him
Whereas he has in his studies sought out the expansion of our art in its understanding of the teachings of Salvatore Fabris and Paulus Hector Mair
Whereas he began and continues to marshal a practice that serves as a venue for recruiting more young fighters into our ranks
Whereas he has served his barony and kingdom and any others who he could at all opportunities
Whereas he has taken to the field of armored combat with spear to punish the enemies of our kingdom wherever they may be found
Whereas he has shown himself a willing and able teacher of the next generation of Scholars
Therefore, let it be known that we three Provosts of the Academie d'Espee of Atlantia, Maestro Dante di Pietro, Lord Raphael de la Rosa, and Lord Wistric Oftun, do request and require that Lord Tassin Navetier hold the field to play his prize for elevation to the rank of Free Scholar at the Ruby Joust, to be held in the Barony of Caer Maer on Saturday the 25th of May, 2013.
At that time he shall face a representative of the White Scarves of Atlantia, all Free Scholars there present, and all other challenges as time permits, in such diverse forms of contest as the challengers shall determine. Should he acquit himself honorably, he shall be marked with the gold scarf that serves as testimony to his virtues, and warning to his foes.
We call upon Lord Tassin to ready his arms, his mind, his body, and his soul.
We call upon this Academie and all others to attend, witness, test, and judge.
Yours in Service,
Maestro Dante, Lord Raphael, and Lord Wistric
